What is Microneedling?
Microneedling is the penetration of the skin with tiny needles spaced close together on a pen-like device, causing controlled micro-trauma. What to expect during your appointment?
A screening questionnaire at the time of booking will be taken and then an in-person consultation and treatment.
The skin is cleansed and an enzymatic peel applied to remove dead skin cells and clogged pores. The skin is sanitised and then an application of topical anaesthetic numbing cream applied. Once numb, a second cleanse of the skin is performed and the microneedling is carried out with the delivery of CLINICCARE™ mesotherapy serums, containing highly effective and active ingredients designed to target your specific skin concerns.
Once treatment is finished an SPF is applied, and you will be sent home with aftercare advice and a CLINICCARE™ sheet mask to apply that evening.
What results to expect over the course of treatments?
Over the coming weeks and months, the skin will start to regenerate, softened and ageing lines can become less noticeable. For those having treatment for acne scarring, the skin begins to build its solid foundation where scarring becomes less noticeable, and skin becomes smoother.
An initial course of 3-6 treatments is usually the standard recommendation before considering moving onto maintenance treatments which can be advised every 6-12 months.
